WFS - Sportainment and Venue Experiences

The 8th edition of World Football Summit (WFS) took place on the 18th and 19th of September 2024 in Sevilla, Spain, at FIBES – Palacio de Congresos y Exposiciones of Sevilla. During the two–day event, over 2,200 top–tier professionals from the sports industry gathered to discuss the rising trends and challenges of the football industry.

Over 35 talks and panels discussed some of the most pressing issues. There were also several workshops, where industry players were able to learn and share their opinions on relevant topics. One of these workshops, from which the present document is based on, was “Sportainment - Venues and Experiences”. It was led by Carlos Cantó, CEO of SPSG Consulting, Member of the Board and Head of the Sports Division at the Spanish Marketing Association, and member of the WFS Advisory Board.

The workshop, moderated by the SPSG Consulting team, was part of the methodology to produce this report. This report’s content is also based on SPSG know-how and a literature review of secondary information, all cited throughout the report.
